Japanese Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (12-to-16-ounce) flank steak, cut against the grain into thin strips
  • 1/3 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 carrots, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 2 bunches scallion, sliced into rings

Directions

1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.

2. In a nonstick skillet over high heat, heat the oil and then add the flank steak.

3. If the steak begins to stick, add a little soy sauce, one tablespoon at a time.

4. When the steak is cooked through, about 2 minutes, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the soy sauce, carrots and scallions.

5. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for 3 minutes.

6. Toss with the pasta and serve.

7. TIP: Choose a 12-16 ounce size flank steak.
