Ingredients
- 6 yellow squash
- 6 strips bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 stick butter
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Cook sliced squash in salted water until tender. (Reserve 1 1/2 cups liquid.)
In large cast iron skillet, fry bacon, then remove. Add butter to bacon drippings. Saute onions in the skillet. Add squash and 1 1/2 cups of liquid.
Salt and pepper to taste. Cook until liquid is almost gone. Add crumbled bacon.
