Apple Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pie crust

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and corn starch. Whisk in the eggs. Stir in the butter, corn syrup and vanilla extract. Fold in half of the apples. Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Place the remaining apples in an overlapping circle on top of the pie. Bake at 375-degrees for 50 minutes or until the center of the pie is set. Cool on wire rack.
