Ingredients
- 8 cups finely chopped green cabbage
- 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 carrots, scraped and shredded
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- ½ cup mayonnaise (not reduced fat)
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Directions
COMBINE the chopped cabbage, onions and shredded carrots in a large bowl.
MIX together the mayonnaise, milk, buttermilk, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt and beat until smooth. Pour over the cabbage mixture and mix well. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
Two tidbits that make this cole slaw extra delicious: Make sure to chop the cabbage, carrots, and onion into very fine pieces (about the size of rice kernels). The real flavor enhancer to this recipe is to let it chill at least 2 hours before serving. The longer the flavors have a chance to blend, the better the
slaw.
